Trading company Kesselaar BV started as a farm in the 19th century.

Since 1975 there has been a focus on cultivating onions and gladiolus. These days Kesselaar BV is completely specialised in cultivating, processing and storing of first-year onionsets, gladiolus and consumer onions.

Recently we into use new buildings for sorting, packing en store onionsets. This storehouse is equipped with the latest storage technology, which means a.o. continuously control of temperature and humidity. In this way the storage process can be controlled from beginning to end. In order to guarantee an excellent quality of the onionsets.

EurepGAP

Kesselaar BV has been certified by EurepGAP. Leading supermarket chains in Europe expect their suppliers to be certified by EurepGAP. The EurepGAP is a production standard for agricultural farms, cultivators of fruit and vegetables, and stock farmers. This certificate confirms that the production is done in a safe and responsible way, both for the food als for the society.

Every year an audit is done by NAK AGRO. This is an independent check on the production process, in order to see if the demands of EurepGAP are met.
